The Baby Goods Recycling Project

Established in 2006 with donations from two local companies, the Exchange Project has grown from strength to strength and now has more than 300 members.

The aim of the project is to provide families on low incomes with quality new and nearly new children's clothing and equipment.

This project is making a real difference to local families in the area as well as the environment as all unwanted clothing is recycled.

The scheme works on a 'library' system where users are able to take a maximum of six items but further items are not permitted until the loaned items or alternative items are deposited.

Parents also benefit from the information days we hold throughout the year on healthy eating, starting school, learning to read etc.

The project is open every Tuesday from 9am to 12noon at Barkantine Community Hall, The Quarterdeck, off Westferry Road (close to Barkantine Health Centre).

To donate any unwanted baby goods please contact IDCF at events@idcf.org or call 020 7345 4444.
